OMSA Graduation Celebration 2018

The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs warmly invites you and your family/friends to the OMSA Graduation Celebration on Thursday, June 7 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Quadrangle Club.

This celebration recognizes students of color and multicultural students graduating from the College, graduate divisions, and professional schools during any quarter of the 2017-2018 academic year.

Please register through Eventbrite by Thursday, May 31 at 5:00pm. We look forward to celebrating with you and your guests!

1. How many tickets can I get for family and friends?

Each graduate is welcome to register up to 4 guests through Eventbrite. If you are interested in bringing additional guests, please email omsa@uchicago.edu. As space is limited, we ask that you only request what you need and update us if the number changes.

2. What is the dress code for graduating students and guests?

Suggested dress is semi-formal.

3. Do I need to bring my cap and gown?

Yes, please bring your cap and gown for the Class of 2018 photo. If you don't have a cap and gown, you are still welcome to participate. If you cannot afford a cap and gown, we encourage you to contact us at omsa@uchicago.edu.

4. Can I wear the OMSA stole at the Convocation on the Main Quad?

Stoles presented at OMSA Graduation can be worn at the 531st Convocation Ceremony on Saturday, June 9 at 9:15am on the University's Main Quadrangle. The Dean of Students for each area will determine if they will be allowed at other ceremonies.
